(More customer reviews)This is the first truly squirrel proof feeder that I've found, and believe me I've had several! My home backs up to a patch of woods, so critters are abundant. As long as this is placed away from the trees or other structures that the squirrels can launch from, it is impossible for them to get the seed. However, I had to move the feeder from it's location to put in a new deck, and when I tried to put it back, one extension arm broke off as I was trying to put the auger back into the ground. I now have it supported by the remaining two arms wedged under the edge of my deck. Overall an excellent product. I've had this for over a year.

The Jagunda Feeder features a unique squirrel proof design. The clear polycarbonate feeder tray doubles as a pole-mounted squirrel baffle to prevent squirrels from reaching the seed. (More customer reviews)This is, hands-down, the best product ever for keeping squirrels off your bird feeders. I've had one for more than five years and not once has a squirrel made it to the feeders. A note of caution though: if you are using a shepherd's hook, this product will NOT work unless the hooks at the top of the feeder are removable as you need a straight line down to slide this over. The newest shepherd's hook that I bought does not have a removable hook and I had to purchase another type of baffle which is not nearly as effective.

(More customer reviews)I found this product to be very useful in keeping the squirrels from eating my bird seed; but I used a full packet per 8qt bucket of seed. I was pleasantly surprised to see my feeders full and only birds eating from them. If you are unfamiliar with working with hot peppers be very careful using this product. Wear gloves and possibly a mask.The new website for C&S ( wildsuets.com )states to use an oil coating on the seed before applying the powder:Mix only five pounds of seed at a time!Mix the seed well with several sprays of a non-stick vegetable spray, or two teaspoons of cooking oil before applying the "Squirrel Away TM".The birds do not taste the oil or the powder. Therefore, they do not know it is there.Mix the powder one teaspoon full at a time, taking care to mix thoroughly.ALLOW TREATED SEED TO SIT 20 MINUTES BEFORE FILLING THE FEEDER!.

(More customer reviews)I have a pole with a hook to hold bird feeders and it is the type that sticks in the ground. Squirrels and chip monks constanly
get up and eat the seeds in the bird feeder.The baffle comes with a bracket, like a collar that is attched on the pole, and it is fixed in place by tightening the screw.The split in the baffle makes it convenient to put on.It then can be closed by hooking the ends together [they come with fold shape like a "U"]. Best to keep up the baffle as high off the ground as possible because the squirrels can jump up at leat 3 feet I think.I use this in combination with the supposedly squirrel proof feeders and works effectively, especially with the red squirrel. They are small and very smart.Also, make sure to keep the feeders away from other pole feeders and trees.Those squirrels are very determined and can jump fairly far.For the money, this is one of the most effective anti-squirrel guard.Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)A good squirrel baffle actually serves two purposes being directly over a feeder.It most of the time keeps the pesky varmints that its designed to deter away, and it also serves as a roof in keeping rain away from the seed portals and helps them stay dry.There are people that buy baffles as protection from the weather even if they are fortunate enough not to be bothered by squirrels.The Aspects dome is certainly big enough to do both jobs.But it is no more effective than any other baffle of the same size and design that is much cheaper.If one sets out to buy a baffle just about anywhere of the dome variety, they will get a swift and severe education as to how expensive they are.You will come to believe that all baffles must have uranium in them somewhere to be so overpriced.The only exception to that rule that I have found is the dome that can be found at a local Tractor Supply company, or at the Tractor Supply website.They sell a full 15" gray plastic dome squirrel baffle for the unbelievable price of only $8.00.(At the time of this writing.It my be a little more now, but will forever be far cheaper than the Aspects).They are the same size as the Aspects and have the same double hook system.And they also come with an attachment for mounting the baffle on a pole if that serves your needs. They are so cheap and effective I ordered 10 of them at once for all my feeders. The only difference between the two is the Tractor Supply baffle is a solid gray instead of clear.Something I actually prefer since the clear ones only look clear for the first couple of Weeks anyway.From that time on they are never clear again.If you're in the market for a baffle, especially for more than one, forget this horrendously overpriced Aspects model and check out the squirrel baffles at Tractor Supply company.You will be most pleased, I promise you...

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item to go with my Droll Yankees Shepahards pole Droll Yankees SEP 68-Inch Shepherds Envy Pole with Hanging Arm(see my product review there on the link).This works very well with the Droll Yankees Pole systems.It attaches securly and easily.This is well made of very thick, sturdy plastic.SO far I have had mine for 2 months and although I have many squirrels, none have been able to make it past this squirrel guard.I highly recommend this with the Droll Ynakee pole system! I bought a second one to go on my other pole.
