Droll Yankees GS 18.5-Inch Giant Seed Tray & Squirrel Guard with clamp Review

(More customer reviews)Rather disappointing, as several squirrels have climbed the pole and managed to get over the guard, starting from the ground. My prior Droll guard evidently was better designed as, in 22 years, never had such a problem (am still using it on another feeder). I emailed Droll about this and they did not respond.

(More customer reviews)The item arrived without any written instructions.When I figured out how the (included)clamp would attach to the pole I realizedthat, after installation, the baffle would slide down a few inches- maybe enough for a squirrel to bypass. I decided to use a hard rubber gasket instead. This "retainer" can be pushed all the way up the neck of the baffle- with NO slippage and no sqirrels. Works fine!

What I like about it is the tail retracts - which for me allows me to grab the tail while it's in my pups mouth so that I can throw it again. Also, I can swing the toy around my head by the tail - getting the pup excited to go fetch it.In terms of quality, my pup hasn't chewed a hole yet but at first I was very weary about the quality. We just lost the fluffy part on the tail, which is why I am purchasing another.The retractable tail doesn't look durable - but it is.We've played a bit of tug of war over this (which is clearly not recommended on the packaging) the tail has remained in-tact except for the fully tail cover. This toy is good quality and lots of fun for the price.

16" Clear Squirrel Baffle Review
