The squirrels in my yard needed a mere week to chew off the plastic rest that allows for the metal baffle to come off completely! I cannot be completely against it, maybe I have genius squirrels, it may work for some people depending on the deviousness of your furry thieves.

(More customer reviews)Well, it seemed to work for a few months. Then the plastic inserts began to fall out and the seed won't stay in. I cut some plastic replacements from a milk jug and these worked for a month or so, but more of the originals keep falling out. Three are gone, and the feeder is not a year old yet. My feeder hangs under the house overhang and so is not rained on; no problems with the spring, though the "stop" that keeps the cage from going too far down fell out fairly soon (I just put a piece of wire in its place).Grackle can feed at this feeder well.Larger birds such as blue jays and a large woodpecker will occasionally hang onto it in some way, but they don't persist. Purple finch and gold finch like it; I get some cardinals even (with black oil sunflower).

It's advertised for squirrels but it's either not big enough or the door doesn't shut hard enough because the squirrels were in and out w/ the bait, and laughing at me from the huge maple tree next door.I did catch a baby possum but only because he is sooooo slow.

(More customer reviews)I have a joint custody arrangement with my neighbor for her toy Yorkie, Bella.I play fetch with Bella at least twice a day.Usually we use a Chuck-it ball and thrower but I have heard that it is a good thing to keep play time interesting by changing it around occasionally.Since she is only 6 lbs. a regular Frisbee is too big for her, which is why I purchased the 9" Flying Squirrel.Here is my take on it:

*It is very well made for the price and it is attractive.Bella does't abuse her toys so I am sure that it will last.

*It flies well.I can throw a decent Frisbee so I had no problem with this toy, however it doesn't go as far as I had hoped it would.

*It's about the right size for a toy dog.She has to pick it up a certain way so she doesn't trip over it as she brings it back to me.

All in all I think that it is another great product from a company that makes wonderful toys for pets.
