(More customer reviews)Rather disappointing, as several squirrels have climbed the pole and managed to get over the guard, starting from the ground. My prior Droll guard evidently was better designed as, in 22 years, never had such a problem (am still using it on another feeder). I emailed Droll about this and they did not respond.

This Giant Seed Tray and Squirrel Guard from Droll Yankees mounts on a 1 inch pole and is held in place by a Complete Clamp (included). It catches seed spilled from above and is a great favorite of cardinals and other ground feeders. Its broadly curved edge prevents squirrels from getting to your feeders when placed below them and 4 feet or higher on the pole. May be filled with sunflower seed and cracked corn and used as an additional feeder!
